MIXING ENGINEER

Steve Nowa has had an incredible career thus far in the music industry, slowly working towards his goal of becoming one of the most recognized engineers in the business.  Every 5 to 10 minutes a song mixed by Steve Nowa is playing on a major Miami radio station.  With a well developed ear and artistic and unconventional methods, he has been sought out by some of today’s most talented, and well- known artists. Growing up in a family of musicians, he fueled his music dreams with a degree from Full Sail University following an internship at Hit Factory Criteria in 2001. “Knowledge is power, and that training was priceless” he says. Taking what he learned, he landed an assistant engineer gig at Circle House and began working under some of the most esteemed producers and engineers in the world. This includes Salaam Remi and Gary Noble on the Amy Whinehouse “Frank” album, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Tony Maserati on the Mary J. Blige “Love & Life” album, and the Grammy Award winning album “En Honor A La Verdad” by Vico C.

Soon after these accomplishments he began tracking hit records such as,  “Goodies” for Ciara, “Shortie Wanna Ride With Me” Young Buck, “Sugar On My Tongue” Trick Daddy, “Hypnotized” Plies featuring Akon, “In My Life” Juvenile, “Love Like Honey” and “ On The Hotline” Pretty Ricky, “In My Bed“ Day 26 from Making the Band.

After 5 years of assisting mixing engineers, pushing the right and wrong buttons, and recording artists from A to Z, Steve became a mixing engineer. He assembled an impressive client list made up of major producers, songwriters, and artists, including; Trick Daddy, Drum Majors, DTP, EMI, Capitol Records, MTV, Lomar Odum of the LA Lakers, Troy Hudson of the MN Timberwolves, Pretty Ricky, Pleasure P, Cool & Dre, DJ Khaled, Thomas Jones of the NY Jets, a slue of independent labels in Miami, and the late Static Major, hit maker for Aaliyah “Try Again”, Genuine “Pony”, and Jodeci.

Steve Nowa has humbly proven his status as a talented and promising Engineer in Miami.  He has made a new list of goals, and they could very well involve you and your artist. He will use your artist’s tone, lyrics, image, culture and perceived market to mold and create the final mix.  He specializes in mixing heavy drums and bass with polished vocals and trance like effects to fit all genres of music. Whatever the mixture of sounds in a song might include, Steve 9k Nowa will professionally glue them all together.  “I want to change music, and I feel compelled to be a part of something new and exciting- I want to bring the magic back.”
